The journey of growing our "Interpretation Skills: ASL to English" continued as Kevin Williams took us into the school setting as we focus our efforts on translating for our students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Kevin had us think about what the child is thinking, stay in that context, and use prediction to prime our translation. The idea of consecutive interpreting was difficult for many to embrace at first. However, in the work that was done by participants, it was proven that the educational interpreters who did the consecutive interpretation were more accurate and articulate than those providing simultaneous interpretations.
